- Republic Act no. 1700, approved 20 June 1957 (and
eventually repealed 22 September 1992). Represents the
Communist Party of the Philippines and its military arm,
the Hukbong Mapagpalaya ng Bayan, formerly known as
Hukbalahaps, and any successors of such organizations to
be clear and present dangers and declares them
outlaw. It is a crime to affiliate with these
organizations.
