US instigates virtual coup in Ukraine

Dear friends,

There is a massive media silence in the west about the dramatic events that have been taking place in the Ukrainian parliament in the last few days, which amount almost to a coup on the part of the pro-NATO and pro-free market forces. Kuchma and his pro-market allies are manouevring to exclude all the elected opposition from power. Much of the country is without electricity and people must use food stamps to collect bread hardly fit to eat (Ukraine was not long ago agricultural bread-basket of the region) . Large workers demonstrations have taken place in the last few days and the demonstrators have had to defend themselves from attack by nazi youth in league with Kuchma and oligarch Volkov.
