The Chechen war: Why the lack of outrage?
By Kifah Jayyousi, 13 January 1995
[. . . ]
One thought can not escape me, that is in the old days, the
US and Europe used to take it easy with the USSR and be
careful not to instigate any conflict with it.
These days however, the West knows well that Russia is weak,
it is in disarray, it is no longer a super power (what good
are your Nukes if you can not manage them and operate them
correctly) and most importantly they know that Russia as a
State is inherently collapsing because of the many oppressed
people (Hundreds of ethnic non-Russians) who have nothing
but distrust of Russians.
So, why is the West afraid of saying anything about it, and
ignoring it to the point as if Chechnya does not exist?
The answer is simple but involved:
It looks like the anti-Islam analysts have a higher voice
with the president of the US. Of course in France and
Southern Europe, Anti-Islam politicians are already in
control and have immediately backed Yeltsin.
History will show, and I have a strong feeling about this,
that Chechnya will have a more fordmidable effect and a
lasting one, more than Afghanistan. Not only in Russia, but
the effect will include places like Jordan and as far deep
as China.
Algerian Mujahideen newsletters have allocated more space
for Chechnya than for Algerian operations.
And most importantly, the emergence Islamic State in
Afghanistan which the West spent Billions to contain, and
which exposed many agents of the West, has now been
strengthened. And Russian troops who were sent to Central
Asia to prevent the Spread of Islam have found Islam
spreading behind their backs from the northern cold
frontiers.
That is what I call Godly Planning.
