1999. Ottoman rule brought peace and prosperity. Many Ottoman
dignitaries were Albanian. Albanians became enthusiastic
supporters of the Ottoman Empire, sharp at exploiting the wide
horizons which the Ottomans opened up.

the other East European countries, the peaceful rallies and
tables' negotiations were the symbols of the Democratic
Movement. Nine years after, probably Albania is the
ex-communist country that has changed more.
