BEIJING—About 100 people from Heilongjiang Province, a hotbed of land rights disputes and unemployment, protested Thursday outside a Communist Party office in Beijing after two days of larger protests at government offices in the capital.
The protesters gathered outside the party's Organization
Department in the morning and shouted slogans such as return my
human rights
and in search of a livelihood,
as two police
cars watched nearby, said Li Guozhu, 48, an unemployed man who joined
the protest. (Kyodo News)
