[CND, 06/29/01] Xinjiang authorities executed two Uygurs convicted of making bombs and accepting foreign funds for separatist activities, agencies reported.
According to a report by the local radio, the two, Wusiman Yimiti and
Maimaiti Reheman, were executed on Tuesday after a public rally in
Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang. The radio also said that the two took
orders and funding from foreign ethnic separatist forces, experimented
with explosive devices and made explosives
