[CND, 03/08/02] Members of the banned Falun Gong interrupted normal television program on Tuesday in northern city of Changchun with footage of its US-based leader Li Hongzhi, and a film accusing the Chinese government of staging the self-immolation of its members in Tiananmen last year, agencies reported.
The interruption lasted for 50 minutes, reaching about 300,000 households. The city of Changchun in Jilin province is the home town of Falun Gong leader Li Hongzhi.
Three people have been arrested in relation to the incident, according to a government official. (Dong LIU)
