for organising a union among 275 workers (all but 47
women) in Monasteria Knitting, Inc.

ICFTU offers a politically safe statement, expressing
abhorrence of the bomb attack on Davao City airport in
Mindanao.

business, the TUCP noted that workers nationwide are not
getting any wage increase, at least for this year, for it
opted anew to abandon the annual tradition of seeking
salary adjustments.
