Al-Sabar Arabic bi-weekly announces its Internet Site

Al-Sabar is an Arabic bi-weekly committed to Palestinian rights and a just peace in the Middle East. Produced in Jaffa, the paper focuses on issues that concern the Palestinians of 1948 (those inside Israel). Al-Sabar reports from the spot. Its reporters hail from the Galilee, Nazareth, Haifa, Jaffa, Tira (the Triangle), Gaza, Hebron, and Jerusalem. Among its veteran journalists are the five of Tariq a-Sharara, whom the government banned after the start of the Intifada.

Al-Sabar defends Palestinians against violations of their human and legal rights, including land confiscation. It has good, reliable sources in the Palestinian Territories as well. It does not hesitate to uncover corruption and abuses, whether by the Palestinian Authority or by Arab leaders in Israel. Its commentary on the trends in Israeli politics has proved time and again to be trenchant and sound. Al-Sabar is an indispensable source for everyone who wants to know the real situation in Israel/Palestine.
