- The injustice of the trial

that Zayd Malik Shakur, Assata Shakur and Sundiata Acoli
were victims of a police assassination attempt associated
with COINTELPRO in May 1973 because of their membership in
the Black Liberation Army (BLA).
- The U.N. Petition
- Covert Action Quarterly, 26 October 1998. As
a result of the petion to the UN by the National
Conference of Black Lawyers et al. that charged the
violation of the human rights of political prisoners. The
resulting investigation in August 1979 found that one of
the worst cases was that of Assata Shakur.
