1982 a bomb destroyed the nearly completed
Cheekeye-Dunsmuir Hydro substation. Direct Action claimed
responsibility. Later, a Toronto bombing was linked to the
Vancouver anarchist community. On January 20, 1983, near
Squamish, B.C. the Vancouver Five were arrested as they
returned to Vancouver from target practice in the
mountains.
