The history in general of Native Americans
in the Andean Region
- Kollas vs. Seaboard
- From South and Meso American Indian Rights Center (SAIIC),
4 October 1997. The Kolla of Northern Argentina
denounce that since December 1996, the Seaboard
Corporation has been violating their rights and
threaten their existence. The Kollas are a
semi-nomadic group in an area of Salta province.
They are one of the last surviving
groups of indigenous people in Argentina, and in
1986 had won legal rights to their ancestral lands.
