President Omar Bongo of Gabon has been sworn in for a further seven-year term at a ceremony in Libreville attended by seven fellow African heads of state.
Mr Bongo, who has been in power for thirty years, was re-elected last month.
Guests included the presidents of Chad, Angola, the Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome and Principe, Burundi and Congo-Brazzaville.
