Vanguard (Lagos), 29 April 2002. Abia State requires N6 billion to tackle its ecological problems which have devastated much of its land. The devastation has also resulted in flooding, destruction of farmland and buildings as well as obstructing development.
Bond Loan: Abia Commerce Chambers Back Kalu

The Abia and Umuahia Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture have endorsed the decision of the Abia State Governor, Dr. Orji Uzor, to raise N3 billion from the Capital market for capital projects in the State. The idea of the loan from the Stock Market was welcome in light of the high interest rate on loans by banks.
