Subject: [southnews] India Challenges US Demand To Expel Iraqi Diplomat
NEW DELHI, March 15 (Oana/Itar-Tass)—India has turned down a request made by the US administration insisting that India expel three high-ranking Iraqi diplomats from India, the Economic Times newspaper reported on Saturday with reference to unnamed official sources.
The three diplomats are on list of 300 other personnel of Iraqi
diplomatic missions who have been declared by US secret services as
engaged in activities incompatible with their official status
.
At the moment, Australia is the only country that has complied with the US claim on other states demanding that Iraqi diplomats be expelled.
